Districts in Area 9
          D1: McGee Bend           D2: Piney Woods           D3: Rice Belt           D4: Sam Houston

District FFA President Advisor:

• Manage District pages on Area 9 website
• Oversee: LDE/CDE awards with officers, oversee conventions, camps, flag ceremony at A9 convention setup and attend all district planning meetings (usually in May to plan summer camps and convention & during the year for specific district functions)

District LDE's:

• District Presidents 

  • will post LDE information on Judging Card

  • will work with neighboring district ASTs to judge your district LDEs (usually RB and SH work together and MB and PW swap out)

  • will set up judges from your district to judge neighboring LDEs districts 

  • work with the host school to set up rooms, door signs, and meals for judges, students and teachers

  • responsible for securing confidential sealed quizzes, jr and sr conducting problems, speaking event topics, etc..

  • will send out judges lists (3rd place team Advisors) to confirm judges for Area LDE

• Registration will be on www.judgingcard.com

• Please pay attention to the Jr/Sr team rotations

Reminders: 

• ADA Accommodations should be submitted to Area Coordinator/District Presidents, 14 days prior to the contest. You may access the application HERE. 

• Quiz contestants should provide their own scan sheets. As indicated in the state rules they will use the Ag Sales/FBM/AgMech scan sheet.

• 9 AM JUDGES MEETING (JI judges will meet @ ___ to begin judging portfolios until quiz is complete

• All 3rd placing District level team AST’s are responsible for judging at Area Contest (except Quiz)
