State and Area Officer Selection  Committees (Teachers) meet

All other books and degrees are due in at 10 AM before the general AST meeting
Ag Teacher Meeting
Committees will begin to review applications after instructions from Area Coordinator
State and Area officers should be ready at 10 am for their Interviews, they will
not do their test and writing prompt until Monday of Convention.

A few reminders for degree check

RECORD BOOKS
  • The Record Book itself can be bound in an IMS braded folder, comb binder, or other type of neatly bound binding. The degree check sheet will be updated at the next printing to reflect this.

  • Remember to tell your (set the date to pull records from) computer record book program to pull records from the first day of  FFA membership to April 1, 2009 ON RECORD BOOKS and applications.
  • Remember to put your students name, username and password and type of book, IMS or AET on the cover of the envelope you put your records in

PROFICIENCIES
  • Record Books must accompany proficiency applications at degree check
  • Remember to stop the records on DEC 31 of the current year.
  • Put proficiencies in a blue FFA type award 3 hole folder (clear front-may or may not have FFA on it)

APPLICATIONS
  • We do not need 10 copies of each star applicant we need only 4 at AREA but you must have 10 when it advances on to STATE in June.
  • Star Applications and Lone Star applications MUST be stapled not binded or in a folder.






All applications go on to state with Area Coordinator from area degree check unless signed out
by AST or not required by state to pull Area IX.

Please remember to sign your books out with the Area Coordinator if you wish to take them home from Area and get them to the State check yourself.
